Why I built Thinq this way

Working inside large payroll, benefits, HR and PEO companies showed me that the industry is fragmented by design. Benefits sit with one broker, workers' comp somewhere else, payroll with another company, HR with a consultant, the 401(k) with another provider, COBRA with someone else. Each of them can be doing its own job correctly while the company is still left connecting all of them.

The problem usually isn't that any one provider is bad. It's that the company becomes the integration layer, and someone inside it is expected to understand how a change in one place affects everything else. Thinq gives companies one place to go for the HR operation, even when solving an issue takes several carriers, systems or administrators behind the scenes.

We don't sell a prescribed stack. If a provider you already use works, we work with it. If something else fits better, we'll show you why.

How I work

  1. The facts first

Recommendations are backed by the economics, the operational impact, the service implications and the actual facts of your situation.

  2. Implementation, not just advice

Strategy matters, but the value is in getting the work done and making the system run.

  3. Straight answers

If the right answer is to keep your current vendor, platform, carrier or setup, that's what I'll tell you.

  4. One place to go

One relationship that knows how your company works, coordinating everything behind it.

Background

  • 15 yearsAcross employee benefits, HR, payroll, PEOs and insurance
  • Paychex, ADP, TriNetRoles inside three of the largest providers
  • Five years running ThinqIndependent HR, benefits and insurance advisory
  • UCLAFormer student-athlete and All-American triple jumper

I cold-called my way into college, and then into my first job at Paychex. I've played guitar professionally in Hollywood. I built my son's closet by hand because the ones we could buy didn't look like what we wanted. The pattern is the same one I bring to clients: decide what good looks like, learn what you don't know, and build it properly.

Not sure what you need? Good. That's where we come in.

Most companies come to us knowing something isn't working, not knowing which service to buy. We'll help you figure it out first.
